Wordpress – 0 / Habari – 1 (Maybe)

I have had it with Wordpress. I love the plugins, but I just don’t know if the headaches are worth it. It never wants to work with me anymore. Every time I load a new theme to Wordpress it doesn’t want to work. I end up stressing over it & throwing things around the house. This last time I made sure I did everything correct. I had Jock do everything. The man is an IT tech & he understands most of the computer geek language. But even he said that my coding look correct & he didn’t understand why it didn’t go through Wordpress’ system. So I am going to leave this theme up for know no matter how much it is brothering me & I am going to set up another database on a subdomain that I already have set up & try Habari. If I like it then I will bomb WP, lol, & set up Habari on Amarantine & start using it.

Sometimes WordPress drives me crazy as well with the sudden problems it gives me. I always edit my new theme from the old files so I seldom change anything in the files, except for the CSS just in case I screw it up. I can’t remember how many times I’ve screw up WP this year alone.

Habari doesn’t seems to like me. I can’t comment on any Habari sites without a proxy on. :(
Good luck setting everything up. Hope it will be a breeze! :D

Well, I looked at Habari but if I wanted to use it then I would have to have someone else install it & load themes for me. I don’t know SSH & I have no desire to learn it. I am barely grabbing the concept of PHP at the moment, lol. If it wasn’t for Jock this time I doubt if I would have gotten this theme up & running. He knows SSH, but his plate is full at the moment & I don’t trust anyone into my account at the moment other then him. There are other things that are in my account besides just my blog that I would prefer people not get a hold of, lol.

Glad you’re interested in giving Habari a try. A lot of it is still in development, but it’s got an enthusiastic community behind it. If you need help, check out the mailing lists or the IRC channel and someone will probably be able to lend a hand.

@Dayna. If you could give us a little bit of detail on the mailing list about the problems you’re having with Habari commenting, we can try and get that sorted out for you.

@Hev you don’t need SSH to run Habari. If you can add themes to WordPress you can install Habari! If the install instructions are unclear let us know where they need improvement.

I hope you have good experiences with Habari, and welcome to the Habari Community.
